This route is for
sailboats. It takes HSC to daymark 50.
There are some remnants of spoil banks along the East side of the HSC.
The wakes of large ships will crest and break like surf on the old
spoil banks.
Stay a half a mile or so away from the HSC to be safe.
There is deep enough water in the area around the
High
and Low range markers to pass out into East Bay.
Practice your tacking and then Pick up the ICW at
Bolivar.
Be prepared for lots of tow traffic.
The Baffle Point Anchorage is Located at
29°23'23.90"N
94°46'48.62"W
It is a convenient place to anchor before Going Offshore

Sievers Cut North: N 29* 26.420' W 094* 42. 797'
Sievers Cut South N 29* 25. 941' W 094* 42. 663'
Ed Herndon reported a depth of 6 feet at High Tide.
Being 6 foot draft he bumped along three times.
